A Taste of Piedmont

March 16th, 2017 by

Piedmont is one of Italy’s most acclaimed wine regions next to Tuscany.

P

iedmont is located in the Po River Valley and sits on the foothills of the Alps, boarding on Switzerland and France.

This famous wine region is most recognized for its age-worthy Barolo and Barbaresco from the Nebbiolo grape

Although, many only think of Piedmont for these wines, the region has several unique grapes to explore; Cortese, Barbera and Dolcetto to just name a few.

Join us on Friday March 31st to explore this region. Enjoy a night out with a friend, and as you catch up I will take you through your personal tasting.

Book a seat at our bar between 5:30pm and 8:30pm, and when you arrive we will begin the tasting.  This evening we will be tasting the variety of noble grapes to the region:

• Villoradoria Cortese
• Villoradoria Barbera D’Alba vs Villoradia Barbaresco
• Gaja “Dagromis” Barolo vs Villoradia “Sori Paradiso” Barolo
• Amaro vs Grapppa

I’m very excited to be opening these Barolo’s as we will be having a face off with one of Italy’s top producers, Gaja.

There will also be a small pairing of food with the wines.
