Ric Kitowski and Jocelyn Klemm are certified sommeliers and the managing partners of TWC Imports. On Friday January 15th they will be show casing three wines from three different grapes. Enjoy a sampling of the wines prior to being seated for your dinner.

e are excited to offer two wines from Villadoria Winery located in the heart of Piemont and owned and operated by the Lanzavecchia family. The Lanzavecchia family have been winemakers for four generations has witnessed the evolution of an area which has its most precious treasure in wine. The Lanzavecchia family believe in the idea of evolution of tradition in all its aspects.

This is a small family winery with production less than 1000 cases a year.

Being abreast of the times means applying the most modern technology to the concept of traditional production which takes meticulous care with every stage of the process, from cultivation of the vineyard to distribution of the finished product.

This evening we will be offering the Cortese, a white grape predominantly grown in southern regions of Piedmont. The grape has moderate acidity and light flavours. The other Villadoria wine being feature is the Barbaresco made from the Nebbiolo grape; the same grape in a Barolo. The Barbaresco is relatively light in colour and body but very well structures and aromatic

The third wine is from Poggio Stenti located in Tuscany. This is a small family winery with production less than 1000 cases a year. The region is known as Montecucco, a relatively new DOC in Tuscany. The wine selected this evening is the Tribolo which is 100% Sangiovese. The wine is aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks to maintain a fresh, fruity bouquet and soft structure.

These wines will be offered in a flight, by the glass or bottle.
