ZUPPA DI RIBOLLITA ~ A hearty broth base soup consisting of cannellini beans, onion, celery, zucchini, Swiss chard, cabbage, carrots parsley as well as pieces of bread.  4.95
POLENTA PASTICCIATA CON IL SUGO FINTO ~ Layers of polenta alternating with a rustic tomato sugo consisting of carrots, onions, and celery. Then topped with freshly grated parmigiana.  8.25

RISOTTO DI AGNELLO ~ Arborio rice simmered with fresh herbs, butter and pecorino cheese then topped with grilled marinated lamb chops.  22

ARISTA AL VIN SANTO ~ Pork roast with vin santo. We slowly roast our pork with fresh rosemary, thyme, lemon, fennel, cherry tomatoes, Vin Santo and honey. Thinly sliced and served with roasted potatoes as well as cherry tomatoes and fennel.  19
PANCOTTO DI VIAREGGIO ~ This is a Tuscan version of a seafood stew. Our Tuscan stew consists of: clams, squid, shrimp, all in our delicious white wine and tomato seafood broth as well as pieces of our house made bread.  22

ZUPPA INGLESE CON SPUMONI AL CARAMELLO ~ This is a delicious custard topped with a caramel meringue.  8
Vino

Sangiovese is the most widely planted grape variety in Italy and the principal red wine grape in Tuscany. All featured wines come from small artisanal Tuscan wineries. The handson approach taken by their Winemakers is truly representative of the Bertoldi way of doing things.

ROSSO DI TOSCANA 2007, LA LECCIAIA ~ Made from 100% Sangiovese and aged for 12 months in oak barrels. A true hidden gem; made with the same grapes as Brunello but with slightly less aging. Ruby red in colour with a slight amber rim, earthy aromas of dark cherries, smoke, and spices. Medium-bodied, and lively on the palate. Great finish.  11 / 15 / 42

CHIANTI CLASSICO 2008, POGGIO AMORELLI ~ A high-quality Chianti made of 100% Sangiovese grapes. Deep and dark in colour, with characteristic aromas of plum and cherry, complemented by subtle bittersweet floral aromas. The palate has young, tightly packed grape tannins with nice grip but no astringency. Excellent length and quality on the finish.  12 / 18 / 47

"TRIBOLO" MONTECUCCO ROSSO 2009, POGGIO STENTI ~ 100% Sangiovese, aged for 12months in stainless steel tanks to maintain a fresh, fruity bouquet and soft structure. Aged for an additional six months in bottle before release. Intense ruby red colour, fresh and fruity with flavours reminiscent of cherries, peaches and blueberries. Very well structured, with a long persistent finish.  10 / 14 / 40
BEVILO 2008, CASA RAIA ~ A beautifully textured and balanced 'Super Tuscan', fully expressed through the family's organic approach to winemaking. A blend of 90% Sangiovese Grosso (the grape of Brunello) and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged in French oak barrels for two years. Deep ruby red colour, with bold, earthy aromas and flavours of wild blackberries and dark plums with notes of cocoa and herbs. Full-bodied with medium tannins.
