Our Menu

Our grandparents (Jessica's great grandparents), Nonno Gelindo and Nonna Marie cooked the true Italian way. Everything was made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients possible. Here at Bertoldi's in London, our oven-baked bread, homemade specialty pastas and all of our sauces are made fresh, right on the premises.

We want to give Londoners a taste of Italy in a simple surrounding. So come in, sit at our table and break bread with us, just as you would have had you been over to Gelindo's and Marie's for supper or lunch.

Vino: DOLCETTO D 'ALBA "VIGNA DEL MANDOROLO" 2010, ELVIO COGNO ~ Medium-bodied, with deep smoky aromas and flavours of cherry, plum and red licorice. Nice balancing acidity and well-integrated tannins. 12 / 18 / 47; MONTEGRILLI LANGHE ROSSO 2009, ELVIO COGNO ~ A blend of Nebbiolo (of Barolo fame) and Barbera. Clean and bright-ruby core. The nose is deep with dark fruit aromas, wild berries, plums and dark raspberries with a delicate violet, spice and vanilla notes. On the palate the wine is balanced, full bodied with an elegant finish. 15 / 20 / 55; BAROLO 2007 MATTO ~ This modern style Barolo offers forward fruits of blackberry and cherry with notes of leather, licorice and roses. Nice approachable tannins and the great structure that you expect from the Nebbiolo grape. 15 / 20 / 55; BARBARESCO 2004 CA DEL BAIO MARCARINI ~ A perfect mid-point to the Asili and Valgrande, Marcarini combines power and depth with succulent, plush fruit. The aromas are very showy - mint, licorice, earth, and rose accent the rich dark cherries and wild berries, with a pinch of oak. 80; BAROLO RAVERA 2005, ELVIO COGNO ~ A top Barolo Cru. Rich and elegant with complex aromas and flavours of dark raspberries, blackberry and red licorice, with soft notes of truffle and dark chocolate emerging as the wine opens up in the glass. Smooth and full with just the right balance of tannins on the finish. 85
